2025 Community Giveback

2025 Community Giveback

At Rivermark, giving back is more than a tradition — it’s a commitment woven into the fabric of who we are. Our mission extends beyond financial services to improving the economic, social, and educational well being of the communities we serve.

In 2025, that commitment came to life through deep partnerships, strengthened community investments, expanded volunteerism, and programs designed to support our neighbors where they need it most. Together we created meaningful impact across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Giveback by the Numbers

Rivermark invested $492,689 in community organizations, initiatives, and local impact programs. These contributions helped fuel essential services, strengthen nonprofit partners, and support causes aligned with our giving pillars of housing security, children's wellbeing, and combating hunger.

Inclusion Through Employee Resource Groups

With 147 employees involved across six groups—representing one quarter of our staff—Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) remained a powerful driver of connection and impact. ERGs expanded the reach and diversity of our giving—helping employees champion causes that reflect their lived experiences and identities. 382 volunteer hours were contributed by 42 active ERG members. $1,000 donated by each of the 6 groups to organizations aligned with their mission.

Combating Hunger

KGW Great Food Drive

The 2025 KGW Great Food Drive showcased the power of community generosity. Rivermark helped provide over 1.2 million meals to families experiencing food insecurity. Over the month long food drive Rivermark collected $1,030 in cash donations and 1,272 pounds of nonperishable food, all of which were distributed to local food pantries including the NCSD Wichita Center, Bethel Congregation, and the Columbia Gorge Food Bank.

Expanding Our Partnership with Sunshine Division

Rivermark deepened our decades-long relationship with Sunshine Division through a new $150,000 three-year investment supporting their annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery. This multi-year commitment helps deliver holiday meals with dignity to families facing food insecurity and expand program reach well into the future.

Employee Volunteer Fair

Nearly 200 employees came together at our Oregon City Campus for Rivermark’s annual Volunteer Fair, connecting with 30 nonprofit partners and exploring new ways to give back. A hands-on “Fill-a-Backpack” challenge resulted in 100 backpacks being filled with school supplies and distributed to students served by Big Brothers Big Sisters, With Love, and Schoolhouse Supplies. The event showcased the passion of Rivermark employees and reinforced our commitment to serving families and youth.

Advancing Housing Stability

Strengthening Home Safety with Rebuilding Together

Rivermark directed a $3 million grant—supported by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines—to Rebuilding Together, helping provide new roofs and HVAC replacements for 86 low income homeowners over the next three years. This investment enhances safety, stability, and long term housing security for vulnerable families across our community.

Fueling Impact Through the Annual Golf Tournament

The Rivermark Community Fund Golf Tournament brought together employees, members, and partners at Camas Meadows, raising over $90,000 for affordable housing initiatives. As the Fund’s primary annual fundraiser, it helps power future grants and strengthens local nonprofit efforts to create sustainable, equitable housing solutions.

Bienestar: 2025 Community Fund Grant Recipient

In 2025, the Rivermark Community Fund awarded a $30,000 unrestricted grant to Bienestar, a Hillsboro-based nonprofit serving more than 2,500 Latinx, immigrant, and low income residents. The grant supports core operations and staffing, helping Bienestar remain resilient and continue providing stable, affordable housing across 14 communities.

Community Advisory Council Launch

In 2025, Rivermark launched its first Community Advisory Council (CAC)—a key initiative born from our CDFI recertification process. The CAC brings together diverse community leaders who provide insight into:

    • Community needs
    • Cultural considerations
    • Barriers to financial empowerment
    • Opportunities to expand equitable access

Their guidance helps shape Rivermark’s programs, products, and member experience, ensuring we stay authentically connected to the people we serve.

Looking Ahead

In 2025, our collective efforts—employees, members, and community partners—made a tangible difference across the region. As we look toward the future, Rivermark remains committed to expanding equitable access to financial resources, deepening relationships with communities we serve, supporting housing stability and economic resilience, and investing in inclusive, people-centered community initiatives. Together, we’re building stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
