What is Card Control?

This FREE service allows you complete versatility and control over your debit and credit card transactions. Turn your card on and off, block certain types of merchants, certain types of transactions, and even set a spending limit. It's up to you! You'll also be able to set alerts, so you stay in the know when it comes to your money.

How do I get started using Card Control?

Login to your account in online or mobile banking. Locate Card Controls under the More menu.

How do I turn my card OFF, then back ON?

From the first/main screen you encounter in Card Controls, tap on the toggle switch to turn your card ON or OFF.

How quickly does the ON/OFF status (or other limits) on my card take effect?

Card Control changes are effective instantly, so you have complete control of your card.

Can I manage Card Controls on more than one Debit or Credit Card?

Yes. From the first/main Card Controls screen, select the card from a list of cards on your Rivermark account.

If I turn my Card OFF, will my recurring transactions be blocked?

No, your recurring transactions will not be blocked. They will continue to be processed, even when your card is turned OFF.

How do I customize my Card alerts and specify alert types?

In Card Controls, click Set Declines and Alerts to select if you would like alerts for All Transactions, Preferred Transactions, or Blocked Transactions. Choose Preferred Transactions in the drop-down menu to make individual selections under Merchant Type, Transaction Type, and Location Type.

Can I use Card Controls to notify Rivermark about my travel plans?

No, travel notifications cannot be submitted via Card Controls at this time. Please contact us 800.452.8502 before you travel, so your card activity is not flagged as fraud.

How do I turn Card alerts On or OFF?

In Card Controls, click Set Declines and Alerts, then go to the Send Alerts For drop-down menu and choose Preferred Transactions. Preferred Transactions default to all notifications OFF and each notification type can be individually turned ON or OFF.
