2019 Winter Warmth Drive
It’s time for our 2nd annual Winter Warmth Drive! From October 21st through November 8th, 2019, our locations will be collecting cold weather items for those in need in our communities. We are partnering with JOIN PDX in the Portland area, and The Warming Place Shelter in The Dalles, to disperse our collected items to those in need this winter. Let's all give the gift of warmth and comfort!
Last year, Rivermark members and employees gathered over 3,000 items that benefited individuals and families without homes!
Cold weather items we are looking to collect, either new or gently used:
- Socks (#1need!)
- Blankets
- Sleeping Bags
- Tarps
- Jackets
- Hats
- Gloves
About JOIN:
JOIN exists to support the efforts of homeless individuals and families to transition out of homelessness into permanent housing. Our efforts are directed at individuals sleeping outside or in their car in the Portland Metro area. Our service provision is not dependent on age, gender, race, ethnicity, faith, culture, language, sexual identity, specific diagnosis, or identifiable issue.

About The Warming Place Shelter:
The HOPE Warming Place Shelter was established in 2009 as a place for homeless to stay warm during extreme cold nights. The shelter is a part of the St. Vincent de Paul Ministries of The Dalles.
