Supervisory Committee FAQs

What is the Supervisory Committee?
The primary function of the Supervisory Committee is to ensure that all records are maintained properly and accurately, member’s assets are secure, and procedures and safeguards are in place to protect the financial soundness of the Credit Union.
How often does the committee meet?
The Supervisory Committee meets once a month at the Rivermark Administrative offices in Beaverton. Committee members are expected to attend all supervisory committee meetings and the Credit Union annual meeting.
What training is involved?
Committee members are required to complete Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP) modules to enhance their understanding of credit union operations. They are expected to complete the first three VAP modules their first year, and three types of credit union related training courses annually thereafter.
Is this a paid position?
No. Involvement on the committee is not compensated.

Do I need to be a member to apply?
Yes. You must have a primary membership with Rivermark and be in good standing.
