Rivermark CEO Scott Burgess was recently named Oregon Credit Union Advocate of the Year by the Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA).
Scott was recognized for his involvement in State and Federal legislative issues regarding credit unions and for calling on Rivermark members to generate thousands of signatures in support of credit union initiatives.
Scott received a standing ovation as he was presented with the award at the Maxx Awards and Gala in Seattle. He was not notified of the award in advance and was surprised on stage by his daughter Sadie and Rivermark board chair Steve Lucas.
“I’m honored by the recognition," Scott said. "The motto of the credit union movement is ‘people helping people’ and I’m pleased to have helped gather support for credit unions to continue this important mission.”
Congratulations to Scott on his well-deserved recognition.
