How to Easily Transfer Funds Between Accounts

Rivermark App Outdoors Park DogAn important part of managing your finances is being able to transfer funds between different accounts. Rivermark offers a number of options to transfer funds between Rivermark accounts or to and from other financial institutions.

Transfers are simple using our Online Banking or Mobile Banking features.

1) Online Banking

To transfer money between your Rivermark accounts:

  1. Go to Transfers -> Transfer Money
  2. Set up a one-time payment or a recurring transfer. In the memo box you can make a note for referring to the transaction in the future.

To transfer money to another member’s Rivermark account: 

  1. Go to Transfers -> Transfer Money
  2. Click on the Add People tab. 
  3. Enter the Member’s Name, ID and Account Number (Savings Account = #1, Checking Account = #2). Click Next.
  4. Check to make sure that the member information is accurate. Click Confirm.
  5. This person’s information should now show up on your account list under the Make a Transfer tab. 
  6. You may transfer money to that person as you would between your accounts.

Transfer money to your Rivermark account from other financial institution:

There are 2 ways to transfer money from another financial institution to your Rivermark account.

Note: This method will allow you to transfer funds both from the other financial institution to your Rivermark account and from your Rivermark account to the other financial institution. The cost of transfers from Rivermark to another financial institution is only $1.95/transfer. Inbound transfers are free.

  1. Go to Transfers -> Transfer Money
  2. Click on the Add Remote Accounts tab.
  3. Agree to the terms. 
  4. Enter the Financial Institution, Remote Routing Number, Account Number, Account Type and a Name. 
  5. Confirm the information. 
  6. Rivermark will make 3 small penny transactions into the other account. We will notify you when they have been completed. After 3 days you will be asked to verify the amount. It is only then that the account will be added as a remote account. 
  7. This information will show up on the Make a Transfer tab under Pending Remote Account Verifications. 
  8. You will only have to go through this process once.

OR

Note: This method is only for transferring funds from another financial institution to your Rivermark account.

  1. Go to Accounts -> Fund an Account
  2. Choose the account you’d like to deposit to. 
  3. Select Another Financial Institution and enter the Financial Institution, Routing Number, Account Number and Transfer Amount. Click continue. 
  4. Confirm the information. 
  5. The transfer should show up in your account.


2) Mobile Banking

To transfer money between Rivermark accounts:

  1. Open the App and Select Login. 
  2. Log in to your account. 
  3. Select Transfer Funds.
  4. Select the account you’d like to transfer funds from. 
  5. Select the account you’d like to transfer funds to. 
  6. Enter the amount. 
  7. Click submit. Click OK. 
  8. You will see your Transfer Status.

To transfer money to another member’s Rivermark account:

  1. You will need to set this up in Online Banking using the steps outlined above.
  2. Open the App and Select Login. 
  3. Log in to your account. 
  4. Select Transfer Funds.
  5. Select the account you’d like to transfer funds from. 
  6. Under Other People select the name you’d like to transfer money to. 
  7. Enter the amount. 
  8. Click submit. Click OK. 
  9. You will see your Transfer Status.

Transfer money to your Rivermark account from other financial institution:

  1. Open the App and Select Login. 
  2. Log in to your account. 
  3. Select Fund an Account.
  4. Select which account you would like to deposit to. 
  5. Select Another Financial Institution and enter the Financial Institution, Routing Number, Account Number and Transfer Amount. Click continue. 
  6. Confirm the information. 
  7. The transfer should show up in your account.

Another free option available to you is Mobile Deposit. Easily deposit a check from other institution using your mobile phone. Simply log in and select Mobile Deposit from the main menu. In Online Banking you are able to deposit a scanned check. Simply click Fund an Account -> Paper Check.
