BEAVERTON, OR – Today, March 23, 2016, Rivermark Community Credit Union successfully upgraded its Online and Mobile Banking system to a new platform that supports the first Eyeprint Identification Login in Oregon. The Eyeprint ID Login is a secure method of biometric authentication that members may use when logging into Online and Mobile Banking, providing the option for a higher level of security and protection of personal information.

In addition, Rivermark’s new Mobile Banking system will support another first in Oregon: Mobile Banking via Smartwatch. Available for both Android and Apple Watch, the smartwatch system will allow members to check their balance and view the last five transactions through an app installed on their smartwatch device.

“We’re proud to be the first credit union to offer both the biometric Eyeprint login as well as the smartwatch integration,” said Robert Mills, Vice President of Technology for Rivermark. “We’ve been deliberate in selecting technology that continues to expand and enhance the convenience of banking with Rivermark.”

Rivermark’s new Online Banking system will provide new features for members that enhance their online experience, including the following:

  • Person to person payments through Popmoney – allowing members to send, request and receive money to anyone with just an email address or mobile number.
  • Quick balance – allowing members to check their balance without having to log into Online or Mobile Banking.
  • Interactive widgets – allowing members to track their qualification for special benefits, such as Free Checking Plus, or make purchasing decisions with auto loan calculators.
  • Personal finance software – allowing members to create budgets and track their spending for all their accounts, including those at other financial institutions.

Rivermark has a track record for innovation in financial services. In 2012, Rivermark became the first credit union in Oregon to offer Mobile Deposit, and today, over 41,000 members use the credit union’s Mobile Banking solution. In 2014, Rivermark was the first credit union in Oregon to extend service through Personal Teller Kiosks, a video kiosk system where members are served by a remote teller that performs their transaction just as if they were doing so in person. The Personal Teller Kiosk system has allowed Rivermark to offer extended hours from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, and from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday.

“We believe our technology solutions help provide a higher level of convenience for our members,” said David Noble, Vice President of Marketing at Rivermark. “The upgrade of our Online and Mobile Banking platform is just the latest evolution of our goal to help members manage their finances whenever, wherever and however they choose.”

Rivermark Community Credit Union serves over 85,000 members at its seven area branches and online. Headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, Rivermark has been offering superior financial services with a member focus since 1951.
