BEAVERTON, OR – Rivermark Community Credit Union is honored to announce that its CEO, Scott Burgess, was named Oregon Credit Union Advocate of the Year by the Northwest Credit Union Association (NWCUA).
The award was presented to Burgess at the MAXX Awards and Gala following the NWCUA Convention in Seattle on Thursday evening, October 13, 2016. Continuing a tradition of the NWCUA, award winners were not notified in advance of their award. Burgess was recognized for his involvement in State and Federal legislative issues and for his leadership in mobilizing credit union membership to generate thousands of signatures in support of credit union initiatives.
Commenting on the award, Burgess said, “I’m honored by the recognition. The motto of the credit union movement is ‘people helping people’ and I’m pleased to have helped gather support for credit unions to continue this important mission.”
