2008 Walk to Cure Diabetes

Rivermark is proud to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the 2008 Walk to Cure Diabetes. JDRF is the leading charitable advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Since its inception in 1970, JDRF has awarded more than $1.16 billion to juvenile diabetes research, including more than $137 million in 2007.

The Walk to Cure Diabetes is JDRF’s largest and most successful national fund-raising event. This year’s walk will be held at Oaks Amusement Park on Sunday, September 28. The event is filled with fun kid’s activities, inspirational testimonials of those living with juvenile diabetes and a post-walk lunch provided by JDRF volunteers.
